Join Silba – Initiative for Dialogue and Democracy as our Head of Communications!

Are you passionate about effective communication, organization, and ensuring that messages reach the right people at the right time? Silba is looking for a dedicated volunteer to lead our Communications Department and help strengthen our internal and external messaging.

About the Role

As Head of Communications, you will play a crucial role in ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels of Silba. You will collaborate with all departments, branches, and initiatives, making sure that Silba’s messaging is cohesive and impactful. While connected to all areas of the organization, the Communications Department primarily facilitates and disseminates information rather than independently gathering it.

In addition to leading the Communications Department, the Head of Communications is a member of the Executive Committee, contributing to high-level decision-making and organizational strategy.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for someone who wants to gain valuable leadership experience in communication management, IT systems, and policy facilitation while contributing to Silba’s mission of promoting dialogue and democracy.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Committee Role:

  • Participate in Executive Committee meetings, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making.

  • Help shape Silba’s overall direction and ensure communication aligns with organizational goals.

Internal Communication:

  • Oversee Silba’s internal communication systems, including Google Workspace and email platforms.

  • Support new members by integrating them into Silba’s IT systems.

  • Initiate policies and guidelines related to communication, working with the Executive Board.

  • Ensure members stay informed about projects, events, and opportunities through email, community announcements, and internal updates.

External Communication:

  • Manage Silba’s public-facing platforms, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.

  • Work closely with departments to promote Silba’s initiatives and activities.

  • Develop and maintain communication strategies to enhance Silba’s visibility and outreach.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A current member of Silba

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Experience with IT systems is an asset (Google Workspace knowledge is a plus)

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams

  • Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative

  • Passion for democracy, dialogue, and civic engagement.

Please send your application containing a letter of motivation (max. 1 page) and CV stating relevant experience to vicepresident@silba.dk

Deadline: March 19th, 2025 at 12:00 CET

Looking forward to receiving your application!
