Silba's Trustee 2025/2026
Silba is seeking a dedicated member to step into the role of National Trustee. Following a vacancy for the 2025/2026 term, the Executive Committee (EC) is inviting applications for this critical "on-call" position, serving until the General Assembly in late 2026.
While breaches of our Code of Conduct are rare, the National Trustee is essential to ensuring Silba remains a safe and inclusive environment. This role is about being ready and providing a trusted point of contact whenever a member needs support or wishes to report a concern.
Your Key Responsibilities:

Primary Contact: Serve as the first confidential resource for reporting violations of the Code of Conduct.

Leading the Conduct Committee: You will lead an advisory body tasked with investigating reported breaches.

Advisory Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Committee by investigating cases and proposing appropriate sanctions or mediation.

Decision Support: While the Conduct Committee investigates and recommends actions, the Executive Committee holds the final decision-making authority.

Policy & Education: Together with the Main Board, you may review the Code of Conduct or organize activities to educate our community on our shared values.

Selection Process & Term

Selection: Due to the mid-term vacancy, the Executive Committee will select the next Trustee from the pool of applicants.

Term: The appointed Trustee will serve until the General Assembly in late 2026.
