
BECOME AN ELECTION OBSERVER FOR
ARMENIA'S PALIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
IN JUNE 2026
Do you want to help support democratic processes and ensure transparency? Now you have the
opportunity to become an international election observer in Armenia.
Armenia is holding parliamentary elections on June 7, 2026. An election observation mission
will be conducted with the aim of providing an impartial assessment of the electoral processes,
identifying strengths and areas for improvement in the electoral system, and supporting
democratic standards in Armenia.
About the Election Observation Mission
The observation takes place from June 4–8, 2026, and will be carried out in several parts of
Armenia in collaboration with politically engaged young people from Armenia. There will be
preparatory training in Denmark on the 10th of May in Copenhagen. The location will be
announced after the application deadline. More information about the final date, location, and
time will follow. There will also be a briefing and training session in Armenia in the week leading
up to the election. Travel is by plane.

About the Election Observation Mission

Formal Requirements

You are between 18 and 29 years old

You are a member of SILBA

You are able to participate June 4–8, 2026

You must complete the free OSCE e-learning course "Comprehensive Course for OSCE/ODIHR Observers" before the mission begins. You only need to focus on the short-term observation section. If you have completed the course within the past year, it is not necessary to retake it. The course can be found here.

Prior experience with election observation or knowledge of the country or region is not required, but you should be curious about learning more about the political landscape and eager to get to know the young Armenians.
What Is Covered
Thanks to funding, we are able to cover a large part of the costs for observers.
Please note that support only applies to observers residing in Denmark.

Board and lodging (food and accommodation) are covered for two days

Flights are reimbursed by up to 200 EUR
The remainder is financed by the observer themselves.
NB: The flights to and from Copenhagen are usually flying at night. This means you will fly on
the 4th of June and arrive in Yerevan the 5th of June. On the 8th, after the election, the mission
officially ends, but the flights will first depart Yerevan at the afternoon or later and you will
arrive home on the 9th of June.
This means the mission ends the 8th of June with a debriefing, but the flights will first leave in
the afternoon or later. The same is said for the arrival date on the 4th of june.
