WE ARE GOING TO MOLDOVA
Empowering Youth in Moldova's EU Referendum 2024
As Moldova gears up for its historic Referendum on Constitutional amendment for EU Accession , the nation's political landscape is heating up. The pro-European government faces growing pressure from pro-Russian factions, leading to increased polarization and distrust, especially among the youth. This crucial moment calls for informed, inclusive participation from Moldova’s young people.
Over the next six months, Silba will be part of a dynamic partnership project, whose focus is to spark active youth engagement in the Moldovan EU Referendum 2024.
The project is centered on three key elements:
Youth Engagement: Mobilizing young people to participate actively in the referendum.
Media Involvement: Enhancing media coverage and youth-led storytelling.
Election Observation Mission:
Ensuring a transparent and democratic process.
This project aims to power and involve Moldovan youth in the upcoming EU referendum through dialogues, debates, and media engagement. Most importantly, we aim to not only encourage youth participation in election participation and monitoring, but also to enhance democratic legitimacy of this election. Lastly, the project will build and strengthen partnerships between Danish and Moldovan youth, and promote common initiatives in the future.
