Vice President
Candidature Motivation:
Over the past months, I have been doing an internship at the Danish Embassy in Uganda, where I work with local civil society organisations. Through this experience, I have learned a great deal about organisational development and governance, as well as gained hands-on experience with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). I hope to bring some of these concrete tools and perspectives into our core activities, such as election observation and international projects. Over the past year, I have also been involved in the election observation (EOM) and international project (IP) departments, where I have contributed to developing policies and initiating new initiatives that I would like to continue working on and help bring further. I really value the role as a non-executive board member because it offers a cross-cutting perspective and allows me to engage with different areas of the organisation. I find it both rewarding and inspiring to contribute to the broader strategic direction rather than focusing on one specific field.
Your Biggest Goal for the Board Term
One of my main goals for the upcoming board term is to help develop a monitoring tool that can be applied across both our election observation missions (EOMs) and international projects. My hope is that this will allow us to gain a clearer understanding of what is happening within our projects and help us guide them in the right direction when needed. I also want to work on strengthening our evaluation tools for the EOMs and IP departementet , so that we can better capture lessons learned and ensure that they are applied in future missions. In recent years, this part has sometimes fallen between the cracks, but I believe there is enormous potential in improving how we collect and use this knowledge.
