Election Observation Mission In Denmark 2025

28th NOV..png

Do you want coordinate Silba's next Election Observation Mission to the Danish Municipal and Regional elections in november 2025? - Then keep reading!

You may have noticed from our website that we’re pretty experienced when it comes to observing elections abroad — but this time, we're turning our focus inward. In November 2025, Denmark is holding municipal and regional elections, and Silba is currently exploring the possibility of launching an Election Observation Mission right here at home.

While international missions are an important part of what we do, democracy doesn’t stop at the border. Observing elections in Denmark is a vital step in promoting transparency, accountability, and the continued development of our own democratic systems. By observing locally, we aim to provide an impartial assessment of the electoral processes, to identify strengths and areas for improvement in the electoral framework and to support democratic practices.

To make this mission a reality, we’re now looking for a team of coordinators to take the lead. Coordinators will be responsible for planning and managing the observation, including the recruitment and guidance of observers at a later stage. You'll work closely with Silba’s Election Observation Committee and receive an introduction to the OSCE/ODIHR methodology that guides our missions.

As the roles will be defined depending on the coordinator team, we are not looking for specific roles. However, we are looking for a diverse group of coordinators, with skills that complement each other, such as knowledge of the municipal landscape in Denmark, project management, budget management, grant applications, and facilitation skills. It is a strong asset if you are active in one of Silba’s local departments. You have to be a member of Silba to become a coordinator.
