22-03-2006: Danish youth ngo’s sets up tent in front of the EU Commissions office in Copenhagen

A politically very broad variety of Danish Youth Organisations, were Thursday the 22nd of March demonstrating in front of the EU Commissions Office in Copenhagen, demanding a clearer stand from the EUs side towards the Lukashenko regime and its falsifications of the presidential election result.

Danish politicians from different parties, incl. former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Niels Helveg Pedersen (Social Liberal) held speaches to the gathered crowd.

Michael Nielsen, one of the "Access denied observers" from The Friends Across Border Election Observation Mission symbolicly raised a tent covered with the Belarusan white/red/white flag in front of the EU Office. "My tent was meant for Maidan, now I will set it up in Copenhagen, as my gesture to my many friends at Maidan" says Michael Nielsen.
