2009 - March - New leadership of SILBA elected

At SILBAs Annual Congress, held 19th of March 2009, SILBA changed the statutes and reformed the structures. In stead of having both a Main Board (Hovedbestyrelse) and an Executive Committee (Forretningsudvalg), the structure is now reduced to an "however enlarged) "Executive Committee".

Anne E. Jensen (MEP) stepped down after 8 years as chairman of SILBA (Chairman of the Main Board). Instead Jens-Kristian Lütken took over as chairman of SILBA (as the new chairman of the Executive Committee). Jens-Kristian Lütken joined SILBA in 2004 and have been one of the most active leaders and activitists since then, traveling most SILBA countries teaching in numerious seminars.

Jakob Knudsen, Chairman of the Executive Committee wanting to reduce the number of positions held, left the position as chairman of the Executive Committee to Jens-Kristian Lütken and simultaniously left the position as chairman of the International Project Committee (International Project Manager) to Peter Nielsen, until now the Chairman of the Campaign Committee (and SILBAs photographer)

Peter Nielsen takes over the work coordinating the international work in the International Project Committee with three representatives from each of the three Country-groups.

Jakob Knudsen continues as Financial Manager (kasserer) taking care of fund raising and member services.

The executive committee was enlarged, so that it now also officially includes one representative from each country group: Janus Gohr from the Russia-Belarus group, Henrik Lindbo Larsen from the Ukraine-Moldova group and Christian Precht-Jensen from the Caucasus group.

Appart from these the executive committee consist of the chairmen from each of the five local branches, a Vicechairman and 2 additional individual members of the Executive Committee.
